Joseph A. Pinto

barflypoet & author of dark fiction

I’m about to pass both the Versatile Blogger and Liebster Awards to two very deserving bloggers.  But first things first.  I mentioned in my last post that I would only nominate one blogger for each and that remains true (technically I’m supposed to pick 15 for the Versatile Blogger and 5 for the Liebster).  Please understand that I’m not doing this to be difficult or a wise-guy.  Not doing it to draw attention upon myself.  Rather, I’d just like to spotlight two talented individuals and have them bask in praise.  Before I reveal my selections, I’d like to say that it’s also not my intention to slight or overlook anyone else that I currently network with, or whose blogs I have frequented.  If it was up to me, I’d pass the award to all of my network family; hence my decision to narrow the field.

So without further ado…

I would like to present the Versatile Blogger Award to Christine Majaski, caretaker of the Solitary Mama blog.  I met Christine through the Triberr blogger community site where she eventually invited me to join her Kick Ass Writers Group.  Let me tell you something about Christine – she is definitely kick ass.  She writes her Solitary Mama with all attitude and trust me, she ain’t your mama’s mama

Christine is the first to admit she has the heart of an old maid, but she’s powered by the soul of a diva.  To be honest, when I first started reading Christine, I thought she was just another “mommy blogger.” But when she waged galactic war upon them, I must say, the Darth Pinto in me took notice.  Christine is an engaging writer, both witty & eloquent, a damn good person and above all a superb mother.  For that alone, Christine, you deserve many awards.

Bravo Christine, you deserve it.  I have your back against the mommy blogger alliance always.

I would like to present the Lieber Award to Ren Warom.  I never met Ren per se; I stumbled across her quite by accident on Twitter.  But when first I visited her WordPress blog page, man, was I ever blown away.

She is proprietor at her blog, Beauteous Corrupt.  I cannot properly describe Ren‘s writing; Ren herself admits that her work does not fit under any logical or conventional genre or style.  Her prose is dark, demented & intoxicatingly beautiful.  Her imagery undulates like raven tapestries under the silvery caress of a gibbous moon.  Silent, hauntingly graceful, Ren roams this earth with no literary home to speak of and is quite thankful for her freedom.

I have read many “published” authors that have left me scratching my head and asking “why?”  After reading Ren at Beauteous Corrupt, I scratch my bald skull & ask “why not?”  She is just an incredibly talented & modest woman.

Congratulations to both Christine and Ren.  I’m thankful my stars have crossed their galaxies.

    Hi Joseph,

Firstly – thank you! How lovely 🙂

I managed to read this before the madness of the school run this morning and it’s lifted my low Winter spirits a ton – ever such kind words about my wordy witterings… I’m so pleased you enjoy them as I have stupid (possibly illegal :P) amounts of fun writing them.

    You’re a gent 🙂
