Joseph A. Pinto

barflypoet & author of dark fiction

I share the pain of another…

‘marionette’

within her aphotic stillness
a stage clumsy in its creation
awaiting hands to tear it down
yet her fingers pluck always
twine shadows of remembrance
no final lines or curtain calls
only manipulated limbs;
lips belonging to another’s voice.

  1. Beautifully written. Those last three lines are absolutely perfect.

    1. Joseph Pinto says:

Thank you brother! I appreciate that very much!

I hate to ask this (and I don’t know if you do it), but would you ever consider having me on your blog for a little interview, etc? I can give you my email address if you wish to discuss further. Or even for yourself on my own.

      1. Who interview’s who? I have never done anything like that. thelonelyauthor@gmail.com

      2. Joseph Pinto says:

Well if you read my book, you could interview me (I know how horrible that sounds lol). But if you’ve never done such a thing, it’s all good! 🙂

      3. Give me some time. I just returned to blogging after a year and a half absence.

      4. Joseph Pinto says:

Don’t worry about it. The mere fact you read my work means the world to me, my friend!

      5. It’s a pleasure to follow you. Love the way you post work work beside a drink

      6. Joseph Pinto says:

Thank you! I guess my branding is working, then lol
