‘of a darker art’

got hell in mouth
devil on tongue
voodoo mama on brain
demon in heart
dig bones from dirt
bury spleens in hearth
keep gris-gris round neck
darkness never part
won’t sell this spell
steal your charm
tongue flick tail rattle, baby
yeah, snake round arm
got hell in mouth
devil on tongue
voodoo mama on brain
you the demon in my heart.

  1. Phew! This was devilish! I enjoyed it though. 😁

Thank you very much, Tara! 🙂

Dark and yet has soul. Do you like to write the darker stuff more than anything else?

    1. Joseph Pinto says:

I do enjoy the darker, more painful side, simply because that is the larger side of myself. But trust me, I’ll really blow you away when I choose to expose my softer side…

I get that. I went through (and still fucking go through on the darker days) a phase where all the poetry and prose and just basically all of my inner monologue and thoughts were dark and I think it is an exorcism of sorts. If the darkness stays inside, it doesn’t do us any good aside from darkening the rest of the corners of our mind that had a soft glow still burning. Now, I think I just weave in the darkness to the rest of the insanity in my head and that seems to work. So I must read your darker stuff, I think.
Why do you think it’s a a larger part of yourself? If you want to tell me , of course. I get boundaries…sort of! I kind of leap over the boundary and then go, Oops…sorry, how did I get here??!

I’d love for you to blow me away with your softer side.

      2. Joseph Pinto says:

I’ll tell but not here lol

      3. Fiery says:

I await with baited breath then… elsewhere
