It’s time for the ‘What Pains You Project.’ I listen privately to your pain and write an anonymous poem dedicated to you…
‘protects her fingers’
calloused from the boots
she laces tight every day
her fingers still find a way
to wear the hats and
knead the knots from her life.
mind and muscle reaction
a bit slowed down
nevertheless her blood pumps
and with that resolve dons gloves
in search of mountains to climb.
a poem for an anonymous reader and their pain…
