not on the fatality list

 

i share with you something brand new:

 

not on the fatality list

 

this is our new fad

quarantine love

mindful of our distance

while we laugh at the experts

we’ve been practicing this, you know

long before it ever came in vogue

concealing all expression

resigned to the fact

our words are asymptomatic

just a monotonous series of sounds

muffled beneath layers

 

infecting inauspiciously the ears.
