‘FROM MY FRONT STEPS: ruminations, observations and longing in a pandemic’

is finally on sale!

I’m excited for you to have the opportunity to read ‘FROM MY FRONT STEPS.’ It’s a short collection, but I think you’ll agree it packs a punch. I’m proud of this subtle shift in direction of all my newer works, none of which has been shared yet.

So what’s the premise of ‘FROM MY FRONT STEPS?’

The simple answer is with all bars closed during the summer of 2020 due to Covid-19, I decided to write observatory poems from my front steps and do so in a way that would allow readers to experience it as though right alongside me. But as I wrote, a story slowly wove its way through my poems:

What would happen if your greatest love abruptly ended things while in the midst of a pandemic? With no way to reach them; with no way to meaningfully respond. The initial waves of bewilderment and anger. Finally the deep ache of realization that no matter the distance or how long the wait, you’ll always hold your faith and unwavering love for them.

Come sit with me.
